2006: A review

“Be thankful, dream big, and never give up!”

College Life: Rushing of thesis, chasing professors to give the passing grade we need, completion of research papers and other requirements in order to qualify for the long-awaited graduation. In addition, there was also handover of documents and training of subordinates in our organization. My college friends brought more fun and excitement in this stage of my life. Although we seldom go out or go out-of-town tour, we had numerous bonding time and sharing in our tambayan (local term for place you usually hang-out), which are in school pavilion, the north building, cafeteria outside the campus, apartment of my best-friend, in the walled city, and in Tagaytay as our drinking and dinner destination.

Post-college Life: The examination to test the 5-year engineering program I had accomplished is one of the highlights of this year. Two months before the test, I challenged myself to conquer some of the minor climb destinations in Laguna. An enjoyable review habits on top of the mountain and inside my room resulted to overwhelming Blessings of the Lord. Summer is the season for beaches and pools. And since, we are near to the Hotspring Capital of the Philippines which is the Brgy. Pansol, Calamba, Laguna, we do have the chance to swam few times before the examination. This is one of my family’s favorite destinations not only because it is near, but because of the warm to hot fresh water freely flowing from the precious Maria Makiling Mountain.

Post-examination Days: It was planned to hang-out, relax, go out with friends, and go to the places I’ve never been before, spend time with family, and enjoy the ample time before starting the new chapter in my life, the professional life. The Palawan tour, Puerto Galera adventure, Batangas escapade are the events which leveled up my enthusiasm in collecting sand from the shoreline of seas and islands. These adventures opened my eyes on what natural beauties have Mother Earth can able to offer.

This year 2006 seems to be the busiest and most challenging year of my life, to date. Still, I enjoyed it a lot and treasured the whole thing that happened, how little or big it is. I know that everything happens for a reason, and in my point of view the basic reason is to enjoy, accept and be thankful for whatever it is that the Lord has given you. Everything was arranged accordingly into its proper places and I am very thankful for bunch of friends that came into my life. I am also grateful for this year because it’s when I became closer to my cousins and spent more time with them as my friends too.
