The Adoration Chapel of Pink Sisters: Answered prayers and wishes

“Prayers are powerful, especially when you believe.”

27 April 2006: I’ve been here many times because of my sister. Every time we went to Tagaytay, she always wishes to visit the Chapel, whisper some prayer and write a wish or prayer into small piece of paper and drop into a small box, and the Nuns there will help out to whisper those words to God.

One time I dropped a simple prayer or simple wish to pass the board exam. By the way, day before we went there, I humbly told the story to my family about the “4-day Out-of-Town Seminar”. Here’s how it goes; Midnight of 25th April 2006, we heard some news leak from friends that the result of the board exam will be out tomorrow morning in the newspapers. For that reason, it will be another sleepless night and flying butterflies in the stomach. I didn't sleep that night; I invited Noel to the market to buy the newspaper around 0400 in the morning. I’m not expecting too much or any return in my hard works and perseverance. I’m the kind of person that accepts everything what God has to offer me. Before browsing the names listed, I whispered a simple prayer of adoration and thanksgiving. I’m very thankful that He wrote my name in the list of successful examiners in Registered Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination April 2006, and also in the list of successful examinees in Registered Master Electrician Licensure Examination April 2006 even more. I am very thankful and Blessed. On my way home, around 0500 in the morning, since it was vacation that time everybody was still sleeping. I just put the newspaper on top of the table in the living room and head back to my room to sleep. But I can’t even close my eyes; I just lie down to my bed and treasure the happiness and Blessing of God. On the other hand, I’m a bit sad because some of my friends didn't make it but I knew that God has always a better plan. Around 0700, I heard my sister knocking at my door and excitedly shouting outside that she’s very proud of me and inviting me to come out and celebrate. That time, I told them the real story behind the “4-day Out-of-Town Seminar”.
Back to Pink Sisters Chapel, it was a peaceful and quiet place compare to other chapel I visited. You can feel the serenity in every corner of the compound especially inside the chapel where you can see the Nuns in front seats which was separated from public by metal fence.

Numerous images of saints can be seen outside the chapel. There were also Stations of the Cross in the garden. The rising popularity of the chapel is due to tranquility of the place and thousands or maybe millions of answered prayers. The thanksgiving prayer at the Chapel was followed by a side trip to People’s Park of Tagaytay and had a simple lunch.

This is a well-known park in Tagaytay City where you can do horse-back riding, day camping, site-seeing at the overlooking Taal Lake and Volcano, kite flying, barbecue, excursion, shop native products such as balisong (local product which means fold-able knife), enjoying the cold air breeze, and many more.

Another whole day of tiring but fulfilling activity and my world will be busy in the next few weeks, months… The long-awaited search for a career is coming and I must be ready to face it.
