Travelling. It’s more fun in the Philippines.

Another year has started, packed for the scheduled travel and exploration. Another year to explore the beauty of the Philippines and neighbouring countries, another year to discover the secret it has. Lately I have been browsing the internet and found out that the Department of Tourism had launched its new campaign slogan which is “It’s more fun in the Philippines“. In relation to this, I made a simple re-iteration of why travelling is more fun in the Philippines.

Cheap.
Travelling in the Philippines is relatively cheap compare to other Asian countries, in terms of accommodation, food, transportation, souvenirs, services, etc. Who don’t want to save more and enjoy more while spend less? In reality, most of the travellers nowadays are thrift and admit it, we want to save as much as we can but still enjoy and be satisfied on the adventure we are getting through. Here in the Philippines, budget travel is well-known and always practised.

Hospitable, Accommodating, and Generous.
Filipinos were influenced by Aleman to become accommodating and bring to bear the hospitality always. We grew up welcoming visitors with heartwarming smile and open arms. We are very generous in terms of sharing what we have (even though we know to ourselves that we left with insufficient piece, we still tend to give it and share to others).

Superb Beaches.
Lot of unexplored beaches are still waiting for us to set our foot in their solemnity and experience its beauty. It’s a fact that the Philippine beaches are one of the best beaches in the world, offering the most beautiful sunrise and sunset plus the perfect intensity of wave for water activities.

Festivals and Food.
Annual celebration of the local patron saint and celebration of the birth of local genuine product has been widely advertised nationwide because of media. That’s one of a good thing about media, because nowadays we are familiar in every festival in different provinces in the Philippines and as a result, we tend to travel and experience other festival aside from the one in our own hometown. In addition to that, these festivals come with food exploration, it’s a must that when you visit a certain place in the Philippines you must try their local specialty and native delicacy.

Interesting.
Travelling in the Philippines is interesting. It’s like attending in a history class, full of special moments and dates of important events. A history that cultured a fine community and sound environment, every little piece in the Philippines has it’s own story, when and where it came from, whether fact or parable, I assure you, it is enthralling and worth discovering.

7100+ Islands.
I have not known anyone who travelled in all the islands of the Philippines, but I know that a great adventure and exceptional journey are waiting. With its numerous beaches, shores virgin islands, great food, extraordinary festival, good people, marvellous mountains, great nature destination, and many more to say will definitely to consider and will surely made the Philippines as a-must visit country in Southeast Asia. It is a country that I respect and proud to be with. A country not only to explore and travel but to love and say: “Travelling. It’s more fun in the Philippines.”
