Balite Falls: For jumping enthusiasts

Going to Balite Falls is quite easy. It’s just 20-30 minutes drive from Tagaytay rotonda. No traffic jam, no eerie atmosphere, and neither unpleasant road.

Balite Falls: view from far end of the stream

Heading to it, from Tagaytay-Rotonda just drive towards Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, then turn right to Mahogany Avenue, then turn right again to Crisanto M. delos Reyes Avenue. Upon reaching the town proper, there will be a 5-10 minutes drive on the same road then carefully look for Balite Road on the left side. Drive straight up and then after a few minutes later you can hear the bustling flowing water of Balite Falls.

The small falls for your kids

Conquer your Acrophobia! =)

A view from afar makes the top of the falls seems like an easy jump however the moment you reach the place, especially for first timers, it will make your legs shake and hesitate. The 3-meter high spot jump is a test of your acrophobia while the 15ft-deep basin is for aqua phobia. Jumping from anywhere at the top of the falls is harmless especially when you’re thinking of the basin’s deep, out of curiosity, I tried to swim up to the bottom of it and they’re right that it’s approximately 15ft-deep. It is definitely unforgettable and enjoyable experience in the water. Aside from jumping activity, the place has a small function area, a landscape of greens, parking, nipa huts for excursionists, small tub for children, party shower area, wooden bridge, and many more to explore and hop around. A whole day tour is an ample time to enjoy the place and create memories that are worth remembering.

Based from locals, this secluded paradise within the busy streets of Cavite is wholly owned by the town mayor and continuously committed to improve the place to encourage more visitors and keeps the tourism alive. The place is good for crafting pre-nuptial photos and other environmental related scene, definitely a place to suit for your craving for cold waters from stream.

Sharing the video of our jump, cheers! :)

23 April 2010: A 50Php entrance fee is just enough to swim, jump to, take pictures, and take pleasure in this beauty of nature.
